Myself as a writer: Likes, dislikes, challenges
I personally see myself as more of a reader than a writer, and when I do write I find it easier to write about information. An example would be climate change for geography, or a lab report for science. I have trouble writing opinion pieces because I am quite indecisive. I can never really pick a side, and have trouble making strong points for arguments when its an opinion piece. When I have information as evidence I do no find it as difficult. Although I do enjoy the freedom that opinion writing gives the author. I also like writing news reports and media deconstruction pieces. I enjoy news reports because they are creative information pieces, and I like media deconstruction because you are able to look at something in depth and decipher the true meaning. I am not a huge fan of grammar, mainly because its difficult for me to comprehend at first. Although, I do take it seriously and want to improve on it greatly. I did enjoy learning about grammar this semester and found it helpful when reading and writing!
Grammar lesson: Subjects an predicates
I believe that during this semester the grammar lesson I have mastered is subjects and predicates. I honestly never thought of or truly understood what a subject or predicate was before this semester. At the end, I have to admit that that I fully understand the concepts and guidelines of both and look for both in my work and others.
Example: Shakespeare wrote many plays.
S= Shakespeare
P= Wrote
