Significant quote from Act 2
"Come, come with me, and we will make short work,
For by your leaves, you shall not stay alone
Till Holy Church incorporate two in one."
(II.vi.35-37)
This quotation is very important to the play in many ways. The main way that this quote is significant to the play is because it represents the major plot point in the play. It is also the end result of all the actions that occurred in the entire second act. Since this quote represents the marriage between Romeo and Juliet it sums up the second act and is the perfect action to segue into the third act. I personally chose this as the significant quote from act two because it displays the end of the peaceful times in the play, it is the final truly happy point before things turn very complicated.
